I painted Nel Verde on a day when I was craving silence — not the absence of sound, but the kind of silence that only nature can give. I had no plan, just a need to disappear into something soft, alive, and green.

This painting is like a memory of a walk in the woods, where sunlight filters through the leaves and everything feels tender and slow. The pink flowers arrived like whispers. The ferns moved like shadows of something ancient and kind. I let the colors bleed into each other, the way moss fades into bark or petals fall into grass.

I didn’t want to control anything. I wanted the painting to breathe — to feel like a page from a diary written by the forest itself.

Nel Verde is not just about flowers. It’s about returning to a place inside of us that knows how to rest. That remembers softness. That says: you don’t need to bloom all the time. Sometimes it’s enough just to exist, gently, in the green.

Deep into your soul

Her works delve deep into your soul. I fell in love with her paintings at first sight and decided to commission a painting from her depicting 3 elephants: mother, father, and child.
