The raven, traditionally a symbol of darkness and gothic symbolism, is instead portrayed as a bearer of light in this painting. With its shining feathers, its beak that almost seems to be smiling at us, and its lively eye, Radiant immerses us in a scene full of energy. The painting was primarily done with oil on canvas using the finger painting technique, meaning paint applied with fingers, without brushes or spatulas; some parts were created with spray paint to give an even more intense and almost fluorescent color. The artist also wanted to play with the juxtaposition of a very classic and ancient technique like oil painting with spray painting, a much more modern technique. As the name suggests, this painting represents a raven irradiated by a strong light, or perhaps it is the raven itself that radiates and carries the necessary light to illuminate the darkness. To convey the idea of moving light, we also see luminous particles that not only remain in the background but move forward above the subject. A painting that symbolizes thinking outside the box and seeing beyond what is generally taught.

"Bright Expressionism" is a new style of painting developed by Italian artist Chiara Magni which combines elements of Impressionism and Expressionism, characterized by its vibrant and intense use of color. This style is distinct in its imaginative and emotional approach, aiming to convey joy and vivacity. Bright Expressionism deviates from traditional color rules, creating imaginative scenes that evoke feelings of freedom and playfulness.
