The name Kamali is of Arabic origin and means “guide spirit”, “protector”. This painting portrays the elephant as a strong yet gentle animal, capable of balancing its power with the lightness and delicacy of the flowers surrounding it. The elephant is depicted walking through a field of flowers, accompanied by the flight of a hummingbird that is completely at ease in the presence of the large animal.
