On a spring night, under a starry sky, nature offers us purple irises that, with their beauty and fragrance, once again make us understand how beautiful and powerful nature is. The iris is a symbol of trust, sincerity, and wisdom. It is the triumph of truth and is associated with conveying a positive message.

Its name comes from Greek and evokes the rainbow and mythology. Since ancient times, it has been used as an ornamental and medicinal plant, as well as for making perfumes.

Legends related to the iris date back to ancient Greek mythology when the goddess Iris, the messenger of the gods and the personification of the rainbow, served as a link between heaven and earth for communication between humanity and Olympus, with particular reference to the god Zeus and the goddess Hera.

The Egyptians attributed almost magical virtues to the iris, and depictions of these flowers are often found among archaeological artifacts. Despite being a night scene, we see the grass and flowers brightly illuminated by an external light source, always emphasizing the importance of the energy that is ever-present in nature.

Deep into your soul

Her works delve deep into your soul. I fell in love with her paintings at first sight and decided to commission a painting from her depicting 3 elephants: mother, father, and child. My first purchase, which was also the first post I saw from Chiara. What caught my eye was her ability to bend colors to show the lights of a city streets and traffic waving during a rain shower. I was hooked on her style.
